The Britons began to live in towns and travelled from town to town on all-weather stone highways.

The Romans brought and established the Latin tongue, Christian faith , country states and villas.

Civilization was based on urban life: the Romans built cities and farming and cattle-raising developed,established forums, public baths,plumbing and amphitheatres.

Roman governors maintained peace, collected taxes, and provided justice.The Romans imposed the respect for local chiefs and customs.

When Roman Ruled ended only the roads continued in use and Christianity was the only institution to survive.In Wales a Celtic version of the Christian Faith prospered.Romans didn't succeed in latinizing Britain as they had done with France.
